Rosacea: how to treat it with a couperose face cream and how to prevent it
Two of the most typical problems for sensitive skin types are couperose skin and rosacea, two unsightly afflictions that can have different causes. In case of this cutaneous inflammation, it is important to use the right couperose face cream, but also to think ahead and seek to prevent the onset of rosacea by using a cream for sensitive skin every day. Of course, breakouts of rosacea and couperose skin require long-term treatments prescribed by your dermatologist. However, the capillaries can be aided with delicate products suited to sensitive skin and a healthy lifestyle. For example, avoiding spicy food, sudden changes in temperature and excessive consumption of alcohol can help keep symptoms under control.
What is rosacea?
Rosacea is a chronic inflammatory disorder (chronic means that it will not clear up over time) that affects over 3.2 million Italians and usually develops between the ages of 30 and 50. It is caused by a mite called Demodex that causes an unbalance in the cutaneous microbiome leading to redness on the face, cheeks, nose, eyes, chin and forehead. This redness might also feel hot or burn, due to the dilation of the capillaries. This condition can develop into acne rosacea, where boils similar to those caused by acne are present in addition to the redness. Acne rosacea stimulates the sebaceous glands and may be ascribable to various reason: a genetic predisposition, anxiety and stress, exposure to the sun, changes in temperature and infections. It is highly recommended that you seek advice from a trusted dermatologist for these conditions.

What is couperose skin?
Couperose skin is also a dermatological disorder connected to the circulation. It is somewhere in the middle between a pathology and an aesthetic disorder, which affects the face in areas such as the cheeks, nose and chin. It is often seen as the precursor to rosacea and manifests with redness due to the swelling or rupturing of the capillaries. Among the causes of couperose skin are insufficiently hydrated skin, changes in temperature, stress and poor diet.
People who may be more prone to this kind of redness and may need to use a couperose cream usually have pale, thin and dry skin. The problem can also develop in women as they go through the menopause, due to the hormonal changes experienced by the body whereby skin tends to dry out and the microcirculation slows down.
Come prevenire rosacea e couperose
Choosing a specific couperose face cream is a good way to feel more comfortable and hydrate the skin. It is then fundamental to prevent the appearance of these two blemishes through diet. Some couperose skin remedies include fruits of the forest, such as blueberries and blackberries, which stimulate the microcirculation. Spicy foods and alcohol, on the other hand, should be avoided.
When it comes to dermocosmetics, it is best to start with a cleansing milk that contains vitamin C to delicately cleanse the skin. A micellar water that contains prebiotics such as inulin and gluco-oligosaccharides is also ideal for maintaining the wellbeing of the cutaneous microbiome to the detriment of “unfriendly” microorganisms such as Demodex, which causes rosacea. To encourage superficial and deep hydration, the cleansing milk can be combined with a face cream for sensitive skin containing the Fospidina complex and delta lactone, two highly delicate and soothing active ingredients. If that face cream for sensitive skin isn’t enough, why not try a skin supplement; the best are made from tagete flower extract or contain biotin and phospholipids.
